In my haste to get the task of temperature taking over with a crucial step was omitted- Read directions carefully... first!- I was pushing the little button on my fancy new thermometer BEFORE inserting it. I was worrying Lucy's labor was not progressing since her temp Keep right around 98. Looking closely at the instructions, (novel idea) in the fine print revealed my error. Now that I'm taking it correctly, pushing the button AFTER it's in. 99.1. Still lower than normal but not cause to be on heightened puppy watch.
